Professional Experience
Chris is an entrepreneur, CPA, and college educator with over two decades of unique accounting, auditing, and regulatory experience for global and regional public accounting firms, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board ("PCAOB"), and multiple universities. Chris has been honored as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting and an Innovator to Watch by Accounting Today. He has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Innovator of the Year accolades. Prior to CPAClub, Chris was an audit partner at a Top 40 firm with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s system of quality control for the audit practice across nine offices. Chris also spent a combined 13 years with a Big 4 firm. In addition to his client-service responsibilities, Chris was also part of a Big 4 firm’s Chief Auditor Network within its National Quality Organization. In this role, Chris provided both PCAOB and AICPA auditing and methodology advice to engagement teams, assisted both national and local leaders with various audit quality initiatives, and created and facilitated numerous technical trainings. Professional Experience
Brian has more than 16 years of both public and private industry accounting and auditing experience. Brian spent the first 12 years of his career in the assurance practice at a Big 4 firm serving a variety of both public SEC issuers and privately held clients. Brian then went on to join the firm’s Chief Auditor Network within its National Quality Organization where he advised audit engagement teams across the nation on auditing methodology and best practices. In this role, Brian also assisted in the implementation of various audit quality initiatives as well as facilitated various technical trainings. After his Big 4 career, Brian spent three years in a technical accounting role at a Fortune 500 financial services company where he led large implementations of Accounting Standard Updates issued by the FASB. Ralph has served the accounting profession for over 40 years in various capacities, including accountant, auditor, quality control reviewer, external peer reviewer, and Chief Learning Officer. Ralph is a leading expert on accounting and auditing quality control and technical issues, litigation, and financial forensics matters. Prior to becoming a consultant and training facilitator, Ralph served as a national office quality control partner for the fifth-largest international accounting firm. He is the author and instructional designer of a popular annual Accounting and Auditing Clinic that has been presented across the U.S. for scores of firms and thousands of attendees. Ralph is also a sought-after conference speaker and course facilitator throughout the U.S. and internationally on technical topics, including the application of domestic and international accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and quality control standards, as well as nontechnical topics related to leadership and interpersonal development. Ralph has also served as an author, co-author, contributing author, or technical editor of several technical reference works, including PPC, Wiley GAAP, and Technical Practice Aids for the AICPA.Credentials that Count.
